The University of Houston Volleyball team kept its undefeated season in tact on Friday as the Cougars opened up the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic with a pair of wins over Nicholls (1-4) and Sam Houston State (3-2). While the Cougars took down the Colonels in straight sets (25-13, 25-20, 25-16), it took all five frames (13-25, 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 15-13) for the Cougars to defeat the Bearkats.

Saturday should be interesting. Team should easily take down Mississippi Valley in the early game, but that match against Louisiana will be tough.
