Well, Will Noble is out this week and being replaced by Fontana. So I guess UCF’s defensive game plan just became “blitz up the middle every single play”?
Teams have been getting pressure on Ward without even blitzing up the middle. They are mainly rushing 2-3 up the middle and using their guys on the outside to contain. It’s been working and has been forcing Ward to be accurate all year.
Interior line this year, especially the last 3 weeks, has been horrendous.
