Back in the day, I loved attending the Bluebonnet Bowl and AstroBluebonnet Bowl games in Houston and can remember some fans hating it because fans wanted the players to travel to a bowl game as a reward.
Most bowl games are meaningless even more so if a 6-6 record qualifies as a bowl candidate. I would like to see the qualification rule change to a minimum of seven (7) wins. No team should suffer the indignity of ending their season with a 6-7 record.
