Lovelace hit a shade below .300 his last month or so at the plate. He’ll be fine.
Solid athleticism behind the plate. That rare catcher who makes it look easy exploding from his crouch to grab that high pitch.
My god, how did Joe Davis not get drafted…Something’s up there.
Starting to dream of a healthy Joe Davis all year with all those juniors coming back…
Lineup will be stacked next year.

One former Coog drafted:

Taylor ended up at Illinois, but never really hit for a high average…hit .226 this past year. Did develop some pop in his bat as he had 10 homers. Speed and defense is still there though. Good luck Zac.
Could be his injury history. Also could be that He only projects to be a DH. Still would have thought He would get a shot.
Maybe he will want to stay for SR year to be w his girlfriend. Who’s starting pitcher for UH Softball n will be SR also.
He had 1 passed ball this entire season despite catching a staff that was fairly wild at times. That’s pretty incredible.
Wichita State - 10 drafted.
That’s my guess.
I saw his pro scouting report, no reason somebody didn’t take a flyer on him in the later rounds unless he told teams not to.
Another former Coog that got drafted. He had a good year for St. Edwards. Probably could have helped us.
