Why can’t he do what case did and throw it out of bounds when it’s too risky. The coaches need to tell him to throw it away vs an int.

Dana has a long list of QBs that did amazing under his coaching, it’s hard to imagine he doesn’t tell him that. But Tune just needs to get smarter and get his IQ up, it’s what’s holding him back

Wait, Tulane is ranked 2nd to Cincy? But, Tulane is supposed to be a cupcake and a guaranteed win according to the experts on this board.

ECU has really good QB play than we do and good receivers too. I think that we can take them, but they look good in those areas.
It’s interesting that Jamel Starks is listed as a RB. His hudl highlight videos show him mostly as a kick returner (where he’s explosive), and a DB (where he makes some nice open field tackles). I wonder how we’ll use him. We definitely have larger RBs.
Matt Byrnes is intriguing at TE. He played for an undefeated JUCO team that absolutely ROLLED OVER all six of its opponents (avg score 46-3 with four shutouts), and he averaged 12 yards per catch on 14 receptions with outstanding size (6’6", 235 lbs). He sometimes lined up as a wideout as well as a TE.
If we could add the transfers as part of our 2021 recruiting class our ranking would increase.
Are we still being out recruited?
By who is the question, SMU and Cincy? Absolutely. UFC and Memphis, I’d also say yes because they are both top 60 classes last year.

Even when Tulane has sucked they’ve been a tough out for us. Really impressive job that Fritz has done there. Crazy to see them so highly ranked in the preseason but definitely not unearned. Still not sure how we beat them last year.
