The guys I think are locks to be drafted are Hall, Anenih, Jones, and D. Williams. I think guys that have a possible chance to be drafted are Russey and Anderson. I’m surprised we haven’t seen anything on Kody Russey’s prospects in late rounds.

As for Mulbah Carr, I would be shocked if he is drafted and surprised if gets a free agent look. He wasn’t even 2nd string for the Coogs, how does anyone expect him to play in the pros?

For those of who are having trouble sleeping and can’t get enough cougar football here’s a nice interview to check out. This is a podcast centered on the Texans, but the guest is TJ Randall, assistant director of player personnel at UH.

TJ joined the program after the season, but has a surprising amount of knowledge on some of the guys in this year’s draft. They started out talking about Malik Willis (since TJ came from Liberty) and then discussed Logan Hall, Marcus Jones, and David Anenih.

Maybe the most interesting part came afterwards when TJ was asked about next year’s crop of cougar draftees and he named Tune, Dell, Parish, Jones. Mentioned Tune’s constant improvement and how he’s looking like he’ll be drafted. He could not stop gushing about Tank. Thinks he may be in the first round discussion next year, but certainly a top 50 prospect. Then he talked about Parish and Jones playing off each other as bookends wreaking havoc. Said Parish has a very impressive physique.

Once again TJ Randall just joined the program so it’s not overly surprising that he didn’t mention Trahan, Paul, or Mutin. Just thought it was interesting that those 4 have immediately caught his eye.

The Athletic final mock draft has Logan going #31 to the bengals.

Go Texans!!!
They owned pick #3, #13 :partying_face::partying_face::partying_face:

Please let the Cougars get drafted by good teams, where they can do well and make the playoffs and have good careers. We are not so selfish we want to watch them play locally and implode with a horrific team, coach and owner.

Come on man… Don’t be negative! Lol

Not a fan of the owner & life coach but still got to support our hometown team and new GM. He did draft Davis Mills last season and looks like a steal.

Great information……One stop shop.

Who did they get with them? Lol

This is Coogfans, we make fun of pro sports here

Fair enough after all the beating Tune took over the years in here.

I see Logan Hall going in the first 5-10 picks of the 2nd round. (hopefully I’m wrong)
Not a huge difference between late first and early 2nd $ and you are a free agent a year earlier.
If he is that 3-4 DE who can hold the edge that many think. Huge $ will come in that 2nd contract.

Ringer w some interesting draft articles today.

“A record seven WRs are selected”

Why?

My allegiance is to UH, not any of the pro teams. Maybe I’m still bitter about the Oilers or just learned not to care too much about the Texans

Ditto. Bigtime Oilers fan, Love Ya Blue! Until they break your heart. Nature of Pro ball. My Cougars will never leave HOUSTON, true we will ever be.

Ed O, Payton Turner, and WJ 3d.
Payton
“Turner struggled during his rookie season, before it was cut short by a shoulder injury that landed him on Injured Reserve.”

Saints are my NFC team.
Struggled is not accurate. They have Cam Jordan (12.5 sacks)and Davenport from UTSA (9 sacks) to rush the passer.
Turner was looking good vs the run. Tough to move.
Also had a sack, 3 TFL, and 3 QB hits in 5 games.

I grew up an Oilers fan as well….some of my friends became and are still Tennessee fans….I just couldn’t bring myself to do it……
If it wasn’t Houston, it wasn’t my team……other than maybe the playoffs I didn’t watch much NFL until the Texans came into being……
Unfortunately, most of the last 20 years have sucked….should have never gotten rid of GK.

Bill O’Brian set the franchise back at least 5 years with his ridiculous trades.

Hopefully Casserio does a good job tonight.

I guess you can also add the prima donna’s in the pro’s who feel they should stop the league until they get more $$. Baseball boycott, then Basketball boycott, hold outs and huge contracts for playing a game. They say the owners are making too much, well guess what, they are owners and you are employees.
