He entered the portal at Christmas break then decided to stay at Arkansas.
“The May 1 deadline is big for two reasons: it’s a first in the portal era. The deadline existed in 2021 but it was extended until July because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with immediate eligibility provided to first-time transfers, the deadline amounts to a free agency deadline. Players who enter the portal after May 1 will need a waiver from the NCAA to play next season.”

Did they really just think it would be some guys getting a couple hundred bucks doing appearances and autographs? Crazy they were not out in front of this……
Money aside…. I don’t think you should be able to transfer in conference without sitting a year….unless head coach leaves….out of conference is fine.

Blake shapen just got named the starter at Baylor and Gerry bohannon has entered the portal as a grad transfer. Obviously not relevant to us, but I’m telling you Shapen is younger than Kyron drones. If Austin Novosad comes in next year and passes him on the depth chart or even if they make him compete to be the backup I could see him hitting the portal. I wanted him to come to UH so bad after HS
