This is still Seth Davis. It probably took a lot of internal conflict to say what he did
We are a lock for a #1 seed. Heâs talking about the #1 overall.
Given who the top 3 will be, it really doesnât matter though. We will get the Dallas regional.
Doesnât the top #1 seed get to pick their location though? I assume weâd pick Dallas, but something to be said about picking the location that would give us the best matchups.
You donât know the matchups of course beforehand. Only the location. UH will
be in South Region - Dallas. Whether there the #1 overall or just placed as #1 seed in Dallas, i donât thk it will make a big difference on whether youâre playing UNC or Tennessee to go to FF. If theyâre fortunate to get that far.
Edit: other key is they have to Win 2 gms to take advantage of favorable Dallas site.
1st weekend will be in Omaha or more than likely Memphis.
1s get to select their preference of regional in overall seed order. It just shakes out that the top 3 fit in distinct regions so thereâs no elbowing that needs to be done to finagle better positioning.
I think UConn wants Dallas because they are sick of Connecticut
Lunardiâs latest bracketâŠis this not ultra ideal having Illinois/SDSU and Creifton/Marquette to get to Phoenix?
Yes. UConn will want Boston and Purdue Detroit.
Iâd love to have Marquette as our 2.
This is the bracket we want right? Stop everything, and we take this bracket immediately?
Iâm fine with whatever path we get in the tournament. No easy matchups.
True everyoneâs going to be really good in the tournament but in terms of how we match up and play to our strengths that bracket would be awesome
Agreed. Getting #1 in the South region is the most important thing and I think we did accomplish that. Plus, very rare to have all top 4 teams in the region advanced to second weekend. There will be upsets everywhere. Let the madness begin!!
I donât want Kentucky in our bracket.
