I believe UConn won the championship in Houston one year.
We are going to win it this year so its going to be super cool to do the back to back thing in Houston.

I don’t know if a home team has ever won the NCAA tourney, if not let’s make history and win it here. If it has, let’s just do it again.

And that is the year we get Jarace, Terrance and Emanuel all playing and if Sasser stays….scary hours. hope we will be one of the few host teams to also play the Final Four
UCLA won it in 1968 at the L A Sports Arena, after beating the Coogs in the semifinals.
No shade on that but winning it on a much bigger venue like NRG Stadium would be 10x bigger because everything is way bigger and better in Texas including the food 
Attendance wise 80k >>> 16k
As far as distance (driving proximity) UH to NRG is only 18 minutes compared to 23 minutes from UCLA to LA Sports Arena.

A little trivia. The court at the Los Angeles Sports Arena was the same court used in the Astrodome for the Houston vs UCLA game on January 20, 1968. That court at the Los Angeles Sports Arena was one of the few portable courts available in those days.
