And on queue Rutgers looses first round of NIT to Hofstra. And they were nationally ranked for a bit because they were beating quality BIG teams hardy harhar.

Atta boy, Joey Brackets.

My only recommendation. Do not pick any MWC teams to get out of the first round.

I 100 percent agree.

I have no idea how people say they got “snubbed”after they choked away that Minnesota game honestly

I need some help. Part of me feels like I need to pick Charleston over SDSU in the first round, but I’m having a really hard time pulling that trigger (no offense, Brandon Miller). Part of the reason I’m struggling is because I am going with Furman over Virginia (just have a feeling). How do you guys see Charleston/SDSU playing out?

I struggled with this one too. I picked SDSU because Charleston’s SOS was 304 (kenpom) and I trust SDSU defensively.

Saw this referenced in an Athletic article this morning.

SDSU is so hard because every time I pick them they lose and all these analyst have them going to the sweet 16. I know this to not reliable but they always let me down that I stoped picking them 2 years ago out of spite. I picked Charleston and hope that Virginia beat them or SDSU

The whole MWC has been quickly approaching B1G levels of overrated. How people beg for them to get 4 bids every year when they have been awful in the tournament since 2013 and have 0 tournament wins in the last 3 tournaments is insane lol

Meanwhile we curbstomp the B1G winners and a 33 win Zona team who had 3 players get drafted despite playing poorly building up to the tournament and still get 0 additional benefit of the doubt :joy:

Good recap of why not to pick MWC teams

I think someone brought up Andy Katz earlier, but I just saw this. He thinks Iowa is going to beat us because they can score and we can’t and that they’ll score in the 70s or 80s on us. Guess he’s never watched us play defense? He may get some of these picks right, but he says something completely absurd with nearly every pick. I’d love to know his reasoning why Penn State finished 10th in the Big 10, but is so good that getting to the Elite Eight is basically a no-brainer. Good Lord!

Andy has gone from one of the more solid NCAA basketball voices to an absolute joke, nobody who pays any attention to college basketball takes him seriously now. He is a clown.

He works for the Big 10 network. Can’t expect any objectivity out of him anymore.
