It seems as though are NIL, especially for basketball is more organized/established I guess you would call it.
Let’s hope it means we can get a couple of difference-makers in the portal.

Agree. We played Oregon and Ware was a complete nonfactor compared to what Omier did to us

Would we be interested in Damion Collins from UK? Not in portal yet I don’t think, and maybe too thin for us, but rumor he wants to get closer to home ATL TX
If I remember correctly, Ware was really skinny. Probably didn’t weigh more than 210 lbs. We need a beast in the middle, not a twig.

NIL will be a large factor for Ware. Would be surprised if he lands here.
Jaykwan Walton is exactly the type of athlete and shooter I’d like to see on this team. 6’7", can get to the rim, rebound, dribble drive, and has a really nice shot. Add him and Ike for an inside presence, and we could be pretty good next year.

ware was a freshman and was a backup at oregon… oregon had 3 different 5star 7ft centers (dante, bittle, ware)…ware was the only freshman … and oregon honestly preferred to play smaller with 6’8 Guerrier at the 4… a mix of both, someone was going to be squeezed for minutes
i don’t mind the lack of domination by ware at oregon… that wasnt a favorable situation for him… not only in competition but also because oregon didnt have a top tier pg…
note 2 months before he went oregon he was considered the best big on team usa and a sure fire top 10 pick

he also compliments jwan…which address our biggest issue of: how do we get bigger with jwan who doesnt shoot but a “likely starter” at 6’7 and not have spacing issues…
ike would be a elite add i wouldnt complain… i also love the potential of ware … id be okay with both

You may have already addressed this and I missed it but what’re your thoughts on Walton?
If we landed both Ike and Ware, does that move Roberts to a six man role?
Creighton or Nebraska seems most likely for him
there are a couple players listed that i think are good but i just dont want becuase i dont think are a fit to our needs… walton had good percentages but isnt really a top shooter… he is a jamal shead level shooter, but because he is offball he can avoid a lot of the bad shots shead had to take … walton’s magic is that he has elite defensive potential… id want walton if we were losing mark instead of Sasser… adding walton id think this team would be lacking in shooting… if mark goes pro, id 100% be in for adding walton…
similarly with ezra ausar… a few people have noted wanting him, but he is 6’8 and cant shoot… hed be a great add if we lost jwan but is just jwan with +5lbs … hoping for legitimate size or shooting
