KJ is a kid from El Paso that I saw play in person….he seemed like a kid that would thrive under CKS and I was really hoping he signed with us….he is a tough SOB.
This season we have 6 players shooting over 70% at the FT line.
Last season, and 2 seasons ago, we had 4 such players.
This cures a potential weakness in March Madness and Guy Lewis suffered from such a weakness.
No more. To beat UH you have to beat us. By scoring against our killer defense.
Yesterday Cincinnati scored below 65. We are 23-0 when that happens.

Yeah I’m not saying Rain will ever be an AA. Hopefully his medical redshirt comes through, the man deserves an entire season to play.
Also are we all just getting hankies ready for the sawdust that will be getting into eyes for J’Wan’s tomorrow? I thought Jamal’s last year was emotional, Wan’s might top it.

I really think Ja’vier is going to play a big part of our March. Everything seemed to flip a switch in the last month or so for him. It has been amazing to watch.

Keep in mind that 0.740 FT% is better than just “decent”…its a definite advantage over our collective opponents FT% AGAINST US!
If our opponents shoot 68% from the free throw line IN OUR GAMES, then we are killing it relative to who we play against.
The “FT % Against” stat is real. It reflects the grind we make our opponents suffer through. Something the season average for other teams (for all of their games which many are not played like our games are played) does not reflect.
