That’s the spirit
HAHA! I make a very quick glance and my first thought was, “Dang, Sharp has slimmed down!”
Caption for the 2nd graphic was best programs of the last 10 years, based on average KP rank
We should see a big jump in the 2nd graphic after this year because we’ll be replacing a sub-200 finish in 2014-15 with a likely top 10 finish this year. Still respectable though.
And has been officially cleared for all basketball related activities.
Tugler and Cryer soon and we will be COMPLETE!
Ramons shot definitely looks more smooth. His guide hand comes off the ball quite a bit it seems. But, overall looking good. More 3pt threats the better
Top one - ball is flat in his shooting hand - Ball can roll anywhere. He needs it off the palm with soft fingers controlling - Needs to fix that if he wants consistency. Bottom one looks a little better…
That’s overanalyzing a snap shot. Yes for a jump shot you want the ball on your finger tips but in that shot he is moving towards the basket hence why the off hand is away from the ball.
I still can’t believe that Ramon never transferred.
Is Ramon our new Reggie Chaney? Bulldog, fighter, scrappy, unpolished. We need him.
I’m glad he didn’t. He may be limited as a player but I love the energy he plays with.
One of my favorite current players!
He’s the definition of a culture warrior.
Not exactly Reggie IMO maxed out on his capabilities
Ramon isn’t unpolished he is very polished, he just doesn’t show that aspect of his game
I once said that I think Ramon would have been better off transferring and being a star at a lower level, some people responded that they don’t think he would be a star at all level. That his a glue guy type player…after watching him play in ProAm he could definitely be the star, he was the most agressive offensive player on a team with multiple other UH player ( including sharp)
I think Ramon could be Jaedon Leedee or Kyky Tandy type player …context both were essentially glue guys their 1st 4 years, not notable stats… Kyky transferred down and ledee everyone but him graduated At SDSU… both ended up 20pt efficient scorers their 5th year. When they were forced to be scorers and couldn’t defer to someone else
I don’t think Reggie was ever capable of being a top scorer
Actually Reggie had a lot more in his tank in the post but we didn’t use it much in our offense. Like Ramon he also dealt with injuries that slowed him some and like Ramon was a tremendous cultural player for our program. Many other players could have also gone to a lower level and been a so called star (had greater numbers) but yet chose to be in the greatest culture in the country. These players are going to get so much more value being here than at some lower program with constantly revolving rosters dnd different standards.
One of the things CKS implied in one of his recent interview is that Ramon is very versatile. It was one of the off the cuff remarks so maybe it did not get the traction. I expect Ramon to be a very important player next season.
Ramon is very easy to root for. Took some time off a couple of year ago for personal reasons, then got injured last year and still came back late in the season to contribute when we thought he was done for the year. You are seeing a player who really wants to be part of this program.
If Ramon has confidence catching and shooting, he can play with any lineup
In Vegas , Westgate has UH 14 to 1 to win championship, just put 40 on to win 560
I was watching back some of the games and Sharp has shown some great flashes of his potential playmaking. If he can expand his game there we could be even more dangerous.
This is a great pass. He passed it to Francis while Momcilovic was still in front of Francis. But he had his hips turned the opposite way and he got lost.
Maybe he knew Momcilovic would try and run out to the wing and Ward or King would rotate down to Francis because he picked up his dribble
Or maybe he did it on accident. Honestly, I can’t tell
