2024-2025 Houston Cougars Basketball Season

That’s part of the problem. Ramon and Mylik still play like “young players.”

That is the most facial hair I’ve seen on CKS in a while. Is he growing a beard?

Ramon, Mylik, Kordell, Jacob, Mercy, Chase. There’re 6 guys on scholly who are not even playing and if they are they aren’t doing anything for us. Terrance looks like the same old Terrance. Jojo is not as good as people hype him up to be he is not a nba player he’s 6’6 6’7 can’t dribble or make plays on his own. There isn’t anyone on this team that’s a killer. Are guards have very little athleticism and are small. We are an alright team that can only hope to get better with what we have.

I don’t care if Ramon or Mylik get, their feelings hurt and want to leave if we bring in guys better than them if we want to win a championship you have to bring in the best players in

Oh and I forgot big Ced so that’s 7

Should the strength of this year’s schedule have been brought up more by Coogfans? Did we not realize how good our opponents would be?

If we had this Terrance healthy last year we are winning it all

The only thing i dont like about that statement is shooting earlier in the clock. If we do that we give opponents more opportunities to shoot. I know hes a metrics guy so i hope it makes sense defensive wise.

Tell me you don’t watch all the games without telling me you don’t watch all the games.

I am watching all the games yeah, he will get 13 against ULL and teams like that but when we play real competition where is he at?

And don’t say look at Notre Dame they suck.

So your objective here to convince everyone here TA stinks and we should just scrap the entire rehabilitation project. Any glimpse of breaking out is just fool’s gold because the opposition was not good.
If I have given an accurate assessment then maybe you can move on.

I’m tired of people talking about the hype of him I want to see him do it. Everyone talks as if he is the next Kobe. He doesn’t stink but it’s the same thing with Ramon everyone on here talks about the intangibles he brings he just isn’t very freaking good.

An accurate assessment who are you? You’re probably one of those guys on here that’s too scared to put their opinion on coogfans and responds to everything with ‘‘in sampson we trust’’
outta here

Coach Russell - Jack Yates JV coach sounds like a blast man.

Objectively, this isn’t correct. Terrance has improved significantly—he’s gotten scarily better than before. The notion of “same old Terrance” isn’t remotely accurate by any metric, film, or impact. In my opinion, you’re imposing an expectation of what you want to see, and anything below that is being dismissed as “the same,” which doesn’t make sense otherwise.

There has been rapid growth in Terrance’s development:

  • Year 1: He was hesitant to shoot against anyone—80% of his shots were open 3-pointers.
  • Year 2 (only half the season): He became super aggressive offensively but was highly inefficient, almost a liability on offense.
  • Year 3: He is now a super-efficient scorer, a drastically improved shooter, and one of our best offensive weapons.

You’re criticizing him for scoring 13 points against ULL and ND (in just 23 minutes, by the way), saying it’s weaker competition. But your point about “same old Terrance” falls apart here—last year, he didn’t crack more than 10 points in the 11 games he played. In his freshman year, he only hit double digits twice in 34 games, and both instances were from shooting open 3s.

This year, he’s breaking players down off the dribble and doing so with incredible efficiency. While he hasn’t been breaking dow elite defenders yet, expecting him to go from a weak offensive player to an All-American overnight is unrealistic. The growth rate is scary, and he will continue to improve as the season progresses. I doubt he stays through his senior year, but technically, he’s only a sophomore. If his growth continues at this pace, he’ll be an absolute monster then. Terrance isnt an “intangibles” player.

As for Jojo, he absolutely lives up to the hype. No one is hyping him for his offense; we’re hyping him for his defense, and he’s every bit as good defensively as we’ve said he is.

Pesik why don’t you stick to highlight videos. Super-efficient scorer is crazy.

Yeah he should be one of the best offensive weapons who else do we have.
