Looking at the size of these players. If they are half as talented as there size. We are in for fun times on Cullen.

Thank you very much for posting:
Me and my buddy shopping, gotta do it in style.

On my early list:
Deshawn Hanika – TE – 6’6”
Alan Herron – OT – 6’6”
Jalen Travis – OT – 6’9”
Drew Azzopardi – OT – 6’7”…phonetically it ends with…PARDEE.
Cedric Melton – OT – Like to see him convert to OG – 6’5”
Gerquan Scott – OG – 6’4”
Remington Strickland – OG – 6’4”

Sani Tuala – DE – 6’5”
Devean Deal – LB – 6’5”
Joseph Marsh – LB – 6’3”
Upton Stout – DB – 5’9”
Jermaine McCord – DB – 6’

Obviously need help at WR’s and need to add at RB. I do like our QB room. An improved OL and running game will do wonder for Donovan. I expect full competition including Lucas. Why shouldn’t the new staff do what they do best? Evaluate and decide.

What we all noticed a major lack of fundamentals resulting in drop passes, bad reads and penalties. CWF’s message from day one is to secure the football. This involves all facets of our game on offense and defense. Remember the message of having a “dialed in” ST? Just a few more yards to start our offense results in wins. These are small details that pay huge dividends. I can’t wait.

Small details add up. How many missed arm tackles or a failure to wrap up leading to countless yards? Yes, there are penalties, and then there are game changing stupid penalties.

I’m sure Lucas will be given a chance, but it’ll take either a miracle, or the departure of one or more QBs currently in the room, for him to rise any higher than 3rd string.

Some over the top Fritzie/staff & UH in general bashing in this thread.
They claim UH bound staff are pitching players/parents as they bowl prep & other things.

I know a few of these posters.
Bar in my old neighborhood has Jefferson Parish -Tulane backers weekly for a decade +.
(Sports Beat in Metarie, LA - just off Causeway and I-10.)

A cool group but not in these comments.

That you and I do not know. HCWF is a head coach for a reason. What has happened in the past is a body of work. Lucas and all the other QB’s are going to have a fun Spring. Remember friends that the portal magically reopens in the Spring. There is a reason for it.

I said, either the #1 or #2 will have to transfer out AND no new competitors will enter the QB room.

That’s the only way Coley moves up.

Print what?

A Nola reporter tweeted from the Sumrall presser asking the new coach about Fritz poaching players before bowl game. The coaching change butt hurt is to be expected but it was comical that they avoided saying UH or Houston. I didn’t realize we were Tulane’s version of the horns lol

Sheesh & the carrying on in there is just getting started.

A part of the huge $ on a coaching promotion is bringing a 2 deep in 23-24.

Full day of WF/ staff bashing in this 1.

I imagine that if a Tulane player is interested in transferring to Houston and he asks a coach for information, the coach is going to answer him.

That being said, if there is a conflict of interest, I’d have no problem with Tulane sending them packing.

Who benefits from CWF’s staff staying for the bowl? Surely, they’ve collected their 2023 paychecks by now. Why doesn’t Tulane just cut them loose and go get run over in their bowl? Sumrall can coach alone and start 0-1. No big deal

Seems to me like the coaches are trying to do their players a solid by sticking around to coach them through the bowl. The players likely appreciate that. If Tulane sent them packing, it might upset the players and push them into the portal.

We’d be making the same kind of comments if the roles were reversed. Just part of how fans cope.

Yep the Troy fans will be doing the same about Tulane

We said the same about LTH and Briles left.

Mad about a coach leaving is typical. The level of hate where reporters won’t utter UH or Houston is funny. Also, we didn’t immediately poach another school’s HC as a replacement and then act all righteous.

First time they’ve had a coach poached this century. They’ll get better at it.
