I’ll follow your tangent and call apples to oranges. Taylor Swift’s greater talent is in being the primary songwriter for her music (11 #1 singles). The other 2 are superior vocalists who have received some co-writing credits.

But people aren’t throwing their money randomly at Taylor. They are buying her products (concert tickets, music, merchandise, etc.) Which in, their minds, is a very good ROI.
The Aggie donor who pitched in 25k, or 500k, to help a recruit go to Texas A&M is only buying hope and more often than not, there will be no ROI…just a feeling of being an idiot because that money could have gone to a number of more sustainable places.

I concur there’s the danger of this happening. We just got back into a power conference after being banished for 30 yrs. Rome wasn’t built in a day. It will take time and way things are looking, things are moving at light speed in how fast things are changing in the CFB landscape. We are making all the right moves fired a slackard coach, building FB ops, raising $150M athletic fund which we have roughly raised half already. Next piece is NIL piece for the FB program, which I believe we will solve. En Tempore
So if limiting transfers is found to be illegal does that also mean limiting the number of years of eligibility will go away?

Maybe, but when numbers come out about how many transfers never see the field then a lot will change.
High talent kids or ones that think they are talented enough want to go pro.
But you have to be on the field for that to happen.
Exactly. When we get there, classes will not be required? This NIL thing is starting to feel like a runaway train going downhill.

I think they are currently to the 2nd or first ranked recruiting class in the Big 12. We’re last.
You guys remember the two days where Fritz was announced HC and he flew in a did the press conference. When we weren’t all plagued with constant, nervous diarrhea over what our team is doing for a few days.
Man, that was a cool time.
