I do not see Arizona, Iowa St., Duke or UCONN losing in January so our ceiling is probably #5 until head to head starts. February 21st will be rocking when #! comes to Fertitta.

I was at the game. TCU fans were on cloud nine…
I heard a stat on the broadcast last night UH is 190th in three-point %. Why is that so low? Does that have to do with the style of defense they play? I think there are some good shooters on this team.
We are currently 218th in 3pt shooting.
If Milos was shooting like he did last season (40%), that is 11 more 3’s and our % jumps from .334 to .358 and we go from 281th to 74th.

helps that we’ve never been a bubble team since we started making tournaments but i wouldnt say that until we see what the committee does with miami(oh) especially if they can’t win an autobid lol

We have started out slow in that ;department no doubt, especially Uzan, but hopefully is breaking out of his slump and his numbers go up. Harwell is nowhere close to where he will be as a shooter as he adapts to Sampson’s defensive game and recovers from injuries, and the other two freshmen, McCarty and Cenac are both going to get more comfortable shooting the rock.
And btw, I told my son again last Tuesday night, do not sleep on McCarty. He is a tough kid and not afraid to mingle amongst the giants. He fits into Sampson’s system very well, and with experience and learning to drive to the hoop he is going to be a dawg…book it…

McCarty reminds me so much of Nate Hinton. An absolute dawg on defense and on the glass with a respectable and improving offensive game.

Yeah - very impressed with McCarty in the last few games. Not seeing him play much until now, I thought his playing time would mainly be due to his shooting (mostly 3’s). His hustle, Defense, and offensive rebounding is what is getting him playing time. Shooting has been poor, but I think it will come around as he gets more comfortable.
