Nice post. Love seeing the work. I really want to see him be successful here.
I think he’s willing to put in the work and keep grinding even if he isn’t rewarded with minutes next year.
His year could be 2026-2027.

I’m pulling for Mercy Miller. There’s no way he should of shot the ball inefficient in the Big 12. I know the sample size is small but if he balls out, UH will be tough to beat in the tournament.

He was pressing bad in his conference minutes last season… he’s going to score this year.

I mean I totally agree, there’s a reason he was far enough up the depth chart to earn those minutes. And it wasn’t because Samp wants access to good concert tickets through his dad. He will get it straight.

All last season I felt like once he made one he’d get hot. Didn’t happen but maybe he was just getting his misses out of the way. I expect he’ll be much improved this year.

Happy for McFarland persevering through injury. I have been a fan since I saw video of him in high school. He has skills that a 6’11" has never had with a UH Sampson coached team. Not there have been that many 6’11" players during the Sampson regime.
