I know absolutely nothing. We don’t usually give up 70. We usually score more than 56. Curious to see who played/how much they each played, etc.

Umm that’s the definition of overreacting.
You look at a score without any context two weeks before our opener. Zero to be concerned about for this season…
We are playing 4 fr with significant roles and have others elevating their roles.

Have we ever lost by 14 in a pre season game? Curious, im not concerned but im definitely curious what the rules were or what coach was trying to do.
We have lost scrimmages to Beard before and been just fine.
Arkansas a couple years ago beat Purdue and then Purdue made Monday night and Arkansas didn’t make the tourney.
I think it is good we get wake call we can use to show freshman and even returners that we have to go earn everything all over.

We have numerous frosh playing a big role on this team. It is going to take time for the defensive system to be implemented.

Replacing seniors like Francis and Roberts is gonna be a challenge to start the year.

just gotta be patient with the defense bc we lost quite alot defensively with the outgoing seniors
the offense only scoring 56 is a bit suspicious but then again its hard to read into it too much when we don’t even have a box score or actual footage of the scrimmage
Yep. Judging from the instagram pics, it looks like everyone played… Jackson, Ced, Walker… everyone. Once our starters play most of the minutes we’ll look different… in time. Hell, even if we start out of the gate slowly, which we did last year, I still think we’ll be good by tournament time.

Wish we had an option to watch it or the next exhibition game…
score without context is meaningless. there is alot to overreact possibly about …but you cant really without details
we have like 6 players with half injuries … who was held out… then who played, we are still deciding who will be the last starter on guard, did we just let all of them have a ton of minutes to battle it out
foul trouble. a on paper weakness to this team is jojo getting in foul trouble, (did he even play at all?)

To be honest, I don’t even wonder or feel the need to see a box score or highlights. It was an opportunity for our guys, whoever played, to run our actions and sets against another team and get coached. They will be on the courts next Saturday for many to see in person. I feel zero need to justify the score or be disappointed with the results this past Saturday.

I’m pretty sure Sampson mentioned were gonna play a lot faster on offense this year or something along those lines, players are still trying to adjust to this style of play

I would love to see us do a little pressing, but that has never been a Sampson thing. I loved those select few minutes we pressed Duke into choking the game…

And were just settling for 3s.
Tugler & Cenac, im sure wanna showcase their outside game. But if 3s arent falling, we need a low post scorer
