Don’t say his name 3 times in the mirror!

Beyond the box score: Looking at Conner Weigman under pressure, the hot start with turnovers and how it compares historically, the OL injury bug, and Jalen Garner at LB:

QB decision making, reads, accuracy, touch and ability to scramble when play breaks down is A+

Defense. Gonna make a difference when we play Tech, etc…

Verifying 1946 and 1947, but it appears UH has never opened a season with three-straight turnover-free games.

Yes, it’s the first time UH has ever gone the first three games without turning it over. That’s pretty remarkable.

Indeed. CWF teams play smart, and fundamentally sound football. It is a pleasure to watch.

No TOs tells me UH is not beating itself. Eliminate the penalties and you have a very good chance to win the game. Create TOs on the other team and you have a very, very, good chance to win the game.

My wedding date was chosen because I strongly requested it be on her birthday so I would only have one date to remember. It helped that it was the second for both of us and she had a sense of humor.

I’ll never forget (forgive) my cousin’s anniversary. He made me miss Keenum starch Ok State in 2009.

Boy you sorry. I’ve heard it all now.

This team if healthy, reminds me of the 2015 squad. It has potential to surprise. Need to stay healthy and improve marginally on offense.

All the talk about the OL, but nobody ever mentions Eman Naghavi. Was under CWF at Tulane, came over and was under Dana, and then was a holdover when CWF came over. Do we need to take a closer look at his effectiveness as a teacher? Even our run-game improved when he gave up run-game coordinator duties.

Wish we could lure down Jason Kelce to coach the OL :joy:

What part of our Offensive Line issue is acquiring top talent vs teaching? It seems to me that UH has not been as effective as other P4 Texas college programs in recruiting O Line talent.

Did I read recently that Texas Tech offered an O LIneman ~$3 million to play for them?

It seems to me that UH may become/remain the O Line transfer capital of Texas’ P4 football.

Agreed. There is some grit and grind to this team. The week to week improvement is also a pleasant sight. We get Tech early at home, and the Zona teams don’t look as scary as predicted. There’s real opportunity to capture momentum.
