2025 Football Schedule

The schedule is supposed to come out Tuesday. What do you hope Houston’s schedule looks like?

Games in bold are already set.

Sat, Aug 30 - Stephen F Austin

Sat, Sep 06 - @ Rice

Sat, Sep 13 - TCU — a lot of this game is about availability. They have an opening this week and play SMU on the 20th. Maybe they look over us and look forward to their rivalry game.

Sat, Sep 20 - BYE — I’d rather this was the week of the 27th, but oh well.

Sat, Sep 27 - @Oregon State

Sat, Oct 04 - Colorado — I think they take a step back.

Sat, Oct 11 - @oklahoma State — I’m not sure what to expect from OSU this coming year. I expect them to be bad, but that’s when they are good.

Sat, Oct 18 – @Baylor — I think Baylor will be really good. I’m hoping for an easyish Oklahoma state game to help keep us fresh for this game.

Sat, Oct 25 - West Virginia — not sure what to expect but a home game after two away will be nice.

Sat, Nov 01 - BYE — we will need a bye after 5 games

Fri, Nov 07 - @ASU — the conference wants everyone to play a Friday game. It’d be nice to have it out of a bye week.

Sat, Nov 15 - @UCF winnable game with an extra day from the prior week to deal with travel.

Sat, Nov 22 - Arizona — I want an “easy” game before the rivalry game with Tech.

Sat, Nov 29 - Texas tech — fun to finish with a rivalry game.

I think 8 wins is very possible.

10-2 with an CFP invitation. Schedule is very favorable if coach Fritz is as good as some of y’all have said.

I threw out 10-2 as a possibility and people got mad at me.

Looks like schedule drops tomorrow. CU coming to town 9/13. Will either be insanely hot or potential rain delay lol :grimacing:

10am? Would have been better during the evening. And at least put it on FS1.

I really like that we have Colorado on the 13th. I think they will be beatable earlier in the season

It’s Colorado, not Ohio State….i think they will be beatable all year.

I agree. But still.

Then you would be competing against CBB. In most cases your very own BIG12 gms… see UH @ 7:00.

No back-to-back road games. Seven weeks in a row starting at Oregon State.

Why are we playing SFA on a Thursday night?

8/30 is Saturday

My guess is to have a couple extra days before the second game for prep - probably ideal with new coordinators and a new QB. Also, gives coaches a chance to go see recruits on Friday and Saturday.

9-3 or 10-2 , Book it.

Opportunity to win conference and make playoffs will come down to the last game.

Gonna be a great year!
