That’s the issue. The Jays have to find a way to beat the Dodger’s entire pitching staff in one game.
The bigger question is whether the Dodgers will hit enough to beat the Blue Jays’ pitchers TWICE.
3 trick or treaters so far. Springer looked in pain running to first. Maybe his knee still bothering him from the other night
He has an oblique injury, I believe.
That check swing had to hurt like hell, but that dude is tough. Watching the Astros, I kind of forgot what that looked like.
Lol
Ain’t that the truth. I’ve seen at least thirty plays this post-season that would have put Yordan on IL for six months.
Ugh - terrible way to end that game.
Hell of game. All hands on deck tomorrow, both teams. Surely, Ohtani and Snell will be available out of the bullpen.
That’s what I was thinking. The Jays have to beat every pitcher on that staff tomorrow. The Ohtani paradox is an issue for the Dodgers but you know the skip has played this out a thousand times in his mind just in case
I’d heard they may be using him as an opener. Jays need a throwback performance from Mad Max.
Yamamoto is the only Dodgers starter who has really shut down the Blue Jays in this series. I’d much rather have Sherzer going for my team than whatever collection of pitchers the Dodgers use.
The Blue Jays magic number seems to be 6 runs. They were terrible in scoring situations tonight, but I’ll be surprised if that happens again tomorrow.
Yea. It seems like in this series if you were gonna have a bad game at the plate it would be in game six.
Yamamoto’s stuff is electric. And he’s not a pus#y. He’d go nine innings every night if they asked him to.
Agree on Scherzer. He’s 4.50 but in deciding games or games in the spotlight you can throw his ERA bull#% out the window. Sometimes Max is jedi. If you’re rooting for the Jays you gotta hope he can make it through six. Then its the Jays who can through the kitchen sink at you for three innings. We might even see the savage for an inning.
welp, its over now; jays chance was game 6; i expect the dodgers likes of betts, freeman, ohtani and muncy to do their thing, dodgers win by at least 3 runs.
How was the Jays’ best chance against the Dodgers’ best pitcher?
If they can turn things around after that horrific extra inning loss, they certainly have the stuff to win today.
But that dude getting doubled off to end the game was so dumb. The play was in front of him, there was no way he would score if the guy had played it on a hop, and he would walk in if the ball got by the fielder. Terrible base running.
Dodgers gonna get killed
Ohtani will be on the mound. I guess it makes sense. Should he get knocked out early, you go with Glasnow. As for Snell, surely he will be available out of the pen. Hell, if I am Roberts, I may ask Yamamoto if he can give me 1 out.
For Toronto, Bieber and Yesavage should be available tonight as well.
Truly, all hands on deck.
I can see Dodger Stadium lights from my house. The fireworks kept me up until 4 am last night. I can’t imagine what tonight will be like.
Please, Toronto.
If they win, stay away from the streets.
Game 7, let’s go!
Ohtani gets out of the jam.
