Yah Dickinson would be one. So would Tshiebwe, Edey, and Cockburn. And yes none of those guys had crazy NBA prospects but they still probably would’ve gone out earlier in the pre NIL era.
Those guys are staying because they are never going to break the late 2nd round and gleague or europe, not because NIL is better than the NBA.
None of them means anything comparing to TA and Jojo
Edey was taken in the lottery last year. Anyway I’m just pointing out that NIL is impacting guys decisions on whether to go out or not. Pre NIL it was common for guys to go out early if they thought they had even a slight chance of getting taken in the 2nd round. With NIL guys are less tempted to go out early unless they already know they’ll get drafted. And in the case of the of a lot of bigs they aren’t declaring unless they feel like they’ll have 1st round potential.
Edit: as for how it relates to Jojo/TA, that’s just going to come down to where they’re actually projected to go.
Yep. That’s the main difference between Bo and JoJo. We saw a Junior/Senior Bo so he was far more polished than JoJo looks, but if we are lucky enough to see JoJo next year he’ll look exactly like Bo did.
You are right about Edey. I retract
If J’Wan, JoJo, LJ, Sharp, and Milos are all healthy, PLEASE tell me who TA is pushing out the starting lineup…and why.
And please explain from CKS’ perspective why he’d do it…not from your perspective.
Nate
Its a tough call but there are definitely things he does better than every one you listed (not saying he’s a better player than all 5). I do think he’s one of our five best players though.
to me its clear sampsons already thinking about it. from quotes and it makes sense from and XandOs perspective
CKS perspective: itll add a rebounding guard to the starting line up and a potential elite perimeter defender… 2 key elements of successful samp teams, currently lacking in the current starting 5.
but it won’t happen unless there is a bad loss, and who? id say who but kyle would egg my car if i said it
@pesik i think Jwan will start.
But Arcenaux could be a quick sub at the 17 minute mark.
And then essentially playing starters minutes
samp basically solidified jwans role in the presser today… and noted he wanted terrance up one position…
Up one position? What does that mean?
at the 3 not the 4…
I think its good to try those lineups with Arcenaux at the 4.
I think you’ll see it vs Kansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, etc
But, we gotta get Jwan going. So, i don’t see Arc starting next game
I don’t think he starts till we lose, and it would have it be a loss that wasn’t expected… Sampson is superstitious about rotating starting lineups after wins
I would not be opposed to Arcenaux starting in front of Sharp or JWan…
Other than Uzan having to start - any of the other top 7 can start or not
Not going to happen. Unless we lose a game we shouldn’t Arc will continue to be the best sixth man in the country. He is still going to get close to starter minutes.
Lets hope Roberts stays healthy because we need his inside presence.
Did y’all watch us get abused on the defensive glass when TA was at the 4? Against TAMUCC. Just think what would happen in conference.
Yep. I said the same thing yesterday. He’s a 3. Maybe a 2. He is not built to bang with bigs down low and grab boards as a 4. We need him as a scorer who grabs backside boards against guards. Not playing a ton of minutes as a starting PF.
Yah but we shot 14-29 from 3pt so that was pretty sick.
