Thatâs not fair. These guys have dozens of reasons for choosing a school. They are less likely running away from a school than running to a school they favor.

Yep. The constant negativity gets old. Loser mentality. Always throwing in the towel before the whistle sounds.
As for recruiting this kid, there are various reasons why he might choose Gonzaga. First and foremost, itâs close to home so he would get to play in front of family and friends. He probably grew up watching Gonzaga basketball, so Iâm sure they were on the top of his list. The fact that Houston is listed as his #2 says a lot about his thoughts about the program.

I was right about Thomas and queen and Iâm right about this player.
If he wants to play for Gonzaga and that is his dream good for him.

Whatâs the common denominator for both of these kids? They wanted to be close to home to play in front of family and friends.
Recruiting goes both ways. We have interest in lots of kids, not one or two. Likewise, there are lots of players interested in playing for Sampson. That doesnât mean Sampson will sign everyone he wants, and it certainly doesnât mean other factors arenât in play, like playing close to home, when a kid signs with the program.
Regardless. Just because a kid signs with another school doesnât mean we have to trash the kid for his decision or act like a spoiled brat for not getting everyone we want.

@MRCoog he was all set to go to St Johns under Mike Anderson. But Anderson got fired. Chose UAB instead
Great decision. Will be interesting if he hits the portal again. Heâll probably be a top 20 transfer
