I have seen a couple of questions about parking given the on-campus construction and wanted to share our most updated map to assist for tomorrow’s game. This map also includes shuttle and metro rail stops.
No matter where you’re parking, plan for a little extra time to arrive. Between construction and students getting settled on campus, it’s been a slower pace this week. Add in the closure of Cullen in front of TDECU (beginning at 2 p.m.), it’ll take some patience.
Come early and bring the whole family! Outside the stadium, stop by the Rodeo Round Up Corral near the Kids’ Zone for western-themed fun:
Mini lasso practice area
Line dancing lessons
Belt buckle coloring wall
Western photo ops
A visit from Howdy!
Take the kids to the Kids’ Zone to enjoy the inflatables and fun near Gate 2!
Hang out with your friends in the Bud Light Backyard Beer Garden between Schroeder Gate 1 and Gate 2.
The student tailgate, sponsored by Student Affairs, Coca-Cola and H-E-B: All students are invited to stop by the student tailgate tent outside of Gate 2. Hang out with your friends and enjoy tailgate games, TVs, video games, food and giveaways!
Show up for Coogs on Parade on Cullen Blvd. at 5:50 p.m. The Spirit of Houston will perform and have a parade through Cougar Alley.
I park next to the guard tower for easy landmark heading back. Which reminds me of a classic story. Back in the 50’s before i was born, my Grandad took my Dad to a big Rice game at Rice stadium. There was a huge crowd and after the game my Grandad had no idea where he parked. My Dad said my grandad said " well, we will just wait till all the cars leave and we can find ours". I always think of that as I’m heading out to the car. When my Dad got up there in age I used to always remind him of that when we were headed to the parking lot.
