UH Outfielder Evan Haeger

OF Evan Haeger from @UHCougarBB will head to @FirebirdsCCBL this summer: https://t.co/hBg2qmy6w1 Haeger did not play last spring while with Alabama. He had a terrific summer with @MohawksBaseball of @PGCBLbaseball, producing a .371 avg. and 1.075 OPS with as many BB (21) as K.

I had no clue CC Sabathia’s son transferred to UH.

Well A&M scored about 20 runs in that scrimmage….Doesn’t matter how hard you throw if you can’t throw strikes.

Hope he’s improved in that aspect.

16 ABs at GT in 2 seasons.
3 hits w 10Ks.
.188

Pitching looking grim barring surprises.

Hoping for better than 11th. Hitting should be there.

He is not very good.

Exactly. I don’t think he gave up a bunch of runs but the staff sure did. Giving up that many runs and only having one hit of your own doesn’t bode well for the season. Not to mention that UH lost to San Jac in the fall as well. It will be very interesting to see how they will start out.

Oh I know… Just didn’t realize his son transferred here until this morning.

Well, broke my promise to myself and just bought single game tickets against a&m. They just went on sale.

Anything to keep them out of the hands of the aggies.

What happened to the big tall German pitcher who threw upper 90’s?

Not the same in 2024 after 2023 Frosh All Am year.
Control issues & not the same zip later in season.

7.30 ERA w hitters going .300 in B12 (12 IP)
Was good the 1st month then a rough last month
including v McNeese & UT Arlington.

Lasted 2 innings twice. Texas loss & Okie State season ending 3-20 debacle.
3 innings in win at BYU.

The returning pitching was horrible in B12 play.
Hoping for some surprises.

He is still on the team. He is not upper 90’s, though. He sits around 93. He hasn’t been the same as his FR year because one, he hurt his elbow that year and two, they aren’t playing in the weaker conference anymore. He can run it up there occasionally, but he hasn’t been consistent.

If I had to pick one pitcher, that has been around the last couple of years, who I expect could make a big jump this year, it would be Ryan Dollar, The kid has great stuff, just needs to be more consistent.

Bottom Dweller pick again…why why why is this once great program allowed to flounder like a beached whale

Hopefully the new AD has enough baseball knowledge to realize what has been happening the last several seasons.

He spent some time at LSU so you would hope he learned a lot about baseball there. Hopefully, he doesn’t wuss out at the end of the year when it is time to go in a different direction. Even if he gets in the Big 12 tournament, he still needs to go.

I still don’t think he should have waited. It’s obvious a change in leadership is long overdue for UHBB, and that should have been one of his first acts as AD.

Damn… losing to San Jac is unacceptable… I know they’re a good juco but come on man…!

Baseball was pretty good when I went to school at UH from 2008-2011…

It’s sad to see the program so far down right now…

It was even better before that.

The satellite sub getting bumped ahead of baseball is the perfect microcosm for where this program is. Sheesh.
