In general, they are saying Fritz would be their Dana Dimel desperation hire.

That should make Fritz feel wanted up there

It looks like Penn St. wants a Big XII coach. Now, Matt Campbell from Iowa St. is being mentioned.

When Fritz was hired, he said he wanted to coach at the highest level. Penn State is that. If he went, it would be like Briles all over again with Robert Griffin/ Keisean Henderson.

Oh ye of little faith and slow to believe. Fritz will retire hire, I’d bet your house.

Stop
just stop
Willie is not going to PSU

I don’t think he is but you never know. Tulane fans probably thought he was staying in New Orleans.

I’m sure they are desperate enough to lob Hail Marys at any coach with a winning record at this point. However, Fritz is a no nonsense guy who doesn’t seem to fit that circus.

Baylor called Penn St. and offered to pay them to take Aranda. For some reason, the line went dead.

What are we chump change? We are at the highest level since we are a P4 school/team. HCWF is building our program to get us to the cfp’s title. I have no doubts about it.

Compared to the Big Ten and that Penn State fanbase?

It only takes one team to win the cfp National Championship. I have no doubt we can do it under HCWF.
Does pennentatiary state have a bigger fan base? Yes, they do. Is the big10 better right now than other conferences? It might but it is cyclical.

Did you read the article? Even the person who wrote it said Penn St. wants a coach with connections in Pennsylvania and that Willie Fritz doesn’t fit that.

I didn’t see that part in the article. It did say that Willie has no ties to that part of the country though.

Pedo St has struck out on a ton of candidates. USF has even filled their opening. Their handling/firing of Franklin is haunting them, imo. Doesn’t seem like type of situation Fritz would pursue.

I can almost guarantee you that they did not

It doesn’t matter now but I remember reading their boards when he and his wife said they wanted to retire there that same season.

Why doesn’t Penn State, look to the MAC the nursing ground of HC, Ohio State hired Jim Tressel back in the day

While some will argue that the cultural aspect isn’t that big of a deal, it could be a hindrance on the recruiting side. Without deep knowledge for the state of Pennsylvania and surrounding states, it could hurt the team’s ability to try and put a fence around the area and keep as much talent as possible at home. That should be a major concern.

I took that to mean he wouldn’t be a great choice because he doesn’t have northern connections like he does in the south.
