Looking back through their boards, by Wednesday of CCG week, it was pretty widely accepted that UH was pursuing CWF and there was a realistic chance of him leaving.
Also, some of the stuff they said about UH in there makes me glad we did it to ‘em. Couldn’t have happened to a better bunch.

This is one of the guys that had Fritz to Houston three years ago. If he says they’re not talking, they’re not talking.

He’s now in power 4… ergo… “highest level”.
His family is in Houston. He took the job, in part to be at the “highest level, and to be close to his Family (children / grandchildren).
Most of his career has been in Kansas, and Texas.
There’s no way He’s going to Penn State.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy leave for another job after he’s already started hiring assistants for next year. But then again, Penn State is the first job I think I’ve seen that was well and truly open like this so late in the carousel, so who knows?
Kalshi bettors are deeply mentally challenged, but they were giving 3¢ for Willie to PSU earlier in the day and that feels about right. I’m not sure it’s a complete impossibility, but I think both fanbases would be very surprised if it happened, and there’s been no serious indication that it’s in the works. Especially if Daboll is ahead of him, that means they’d have to whiff on a guy in the unemployment line before CWF was even considered. I don’t think that happens.
