why woul he be compared to NBA rookie?? most are expecting dedan to play his 5th year, are you projecting if he became an all-american we’d be comparing him to nba freshmen… the obvious answer is no

isnt that what you just did!!! you brought up an unnecessary counter point

Sorry it was over your head. Try asking more questions. Point was clear and obvious and have no inclination in getting into your 10,000 words defense of your position.

A couple of IG posts from the men’s basketball account. Half court 5 on 5. In the first clip it’s Dedan, Hadnot, McCarty, Gillespie and Tugler on the red team. In the second clip it’s Dedan, Mercy, Hadnot, Gillespie and I presume Diane. You can’t see who the 5th guy in red is. It’s not Tugler, he’s standing at half court. Jackson and East are on the white team so it’s not them either.

Good stuff. Now i gotta go watch more videos. Love the style of play from the posts this summer. A lot of paint work and penetrating to the basket

In the 2nd clip Corey Hadnot had an amazing euro to break down the defense.

Also now we know Corey Hadnot is 6’1 and not 6’3…

Why…? he had the best freshman season ever here and it’s not even really debatable…

It’s only two snippets from a practice but it makes me wonder who comes in for McCarty at the 3 when he comes out. I figured it would be Bryce but now I’m not so sure. Hadnot might be the guy who comes in for Mercy and McCarty when they come out. Assuming M&M start. What say yall?

With this info i will lower my minutes projection for Hadnot back down to 20. I bumped it up to 25 after the last two interviews from Sampson & Son…but rebounding has been emphasized several times. There will be minutes where Hadnot and DJ play together…but i dont think it will be a lot if we want to be a dominant rebounding and defensive team. 6 foot and 6’1 backcourt is short.

Early in the season, CKS will be looking at some development and seeing what could work in the future. There may not be a rush to even play Weaver because he is a vet. When the time comes he should be ready and they know what he can do.

Most of the clips we see are obviously offensive, but its going to be all about the defense for sure.

The past two seasons, the bench changed once it got serious. Weaver will play once the competition gets better and we play teams with multiple scorers and we need rebounders. I think he will come in for Mercy and Chase when it counts.

Side note… how the dog is basking in the sunlight is how I felt when I moved from Houston to Jersey…

You don’t bask in the sun in Houston… you get violently assaulted sometimes even to the point of near death…

Same height as LJ… Am I wrong to think Hadnot could be our LJ this season…?

True LJ was listed at 6’1. He may be even shorter…but he also came in and played with Sharp and Shead. It allowed him time to learn the defense and it wasnt a lot of pressure on him. The following season, Uzan.

Its different with DJ at PG. We will have to protect DJ on defense.

CKS used Brunson as an example in his latest interview. He said Brunson was the chemistry on offense. HE said Its more important to have chemistry on DEFENSE.

If you watched the Knicks and Brunson, you know teams go at Brunson on defense. He gets steals and stuff, but the rest of the Knicks has his back on defense. Everyone else can defend at a high level. They all board at a high level.
