they are not done yet. michigan is the one seed and the final four in hockey which starts thursday; they could win the hockey championship this saturday. two national championships in the same week, not bad; not bad at all.

i am no danny fan but uconn gave michigan the best game of the tournament. if michigan wasn’t so good on its FTs, uconn might have won and i still maintain st johns got hosed being in the same bracket as uconn; they were both good enough to make the final four. this season the top of the big 10 then top of the big east as the two best conferences.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
NIL is simply NOT creating “parity” in college sports.

I honestly do not know what makes ANYONE HERE think or say that.
It’s simply making the RICH (the B1G is the richest conference)……RICHER.
In football AND men’s basketball.
I’ve often wondered if aTm and Mizzou would bolt for the B1G. Gotta wonder about UT as well.

I wouldn’t be shocked if UT takes mizzou with them (as the other AAU) and leaves ATM behind like ATM did to them. In the end I have to believe UT has an open ended invitation to the BIG so the questions are: 1. Will they act? 2. If so, when? 3. Will they bring a partner?
The ultimate coup for the B1G would be to add UT and Notre Dame. Both value additive football MEGA BRANDS, blue bloods, and AAU members.
Not sayin’ it’ll happen, but for the B1G, that would be the “ultimate.”

Anyone else miss when all the conferences were 10-12 teams and you got to play almost everybody twice

FWIW…espn’s much too early top 25 for next year has us at #10.
They see Mercy Miller and Chase McCarty stepping up, together with the new freshmen, and JoJo.
Not worth much at this point… everybody just has to rush out a eay too early top 25 so they’re not the only one not to do it…
I personally totally enjoyed the final game. Watching Hurley get a beating was worth every second.

UH starting ranked 10th was a bit of a surprise. I didn’t think we would get that much respect. I also expect UH to drop in the polls considerably is the first part of the season. Our roster will have some new faces. Sampson will want to play 10-11 guys so it might take a while to figure out who they are.
