2026 recruiting, 2026 roster - eligibility

I think the 2025 class is set. Perhaps 1 add transfer if someone goes to the NBA early. Milos Uzan could possibly. JoJo was on the early draft boards but the recent consensus is that he needs another year to develop his offense.

We lose the following players (3) who have exhausted eligibility including playing 5th year granted by NCAA for covid wasting a year.

LJ Cryer - SG - no more eligibiliy
J. Roberts - PF - no more eligibility
M. Wilson - PG/SG - no more eligibility

I believe the following 2 players still have 1 year (covid) 5th year available to use but i could be wrong. If someone knows, please elaborate

J. Francis PF (was a Junior last year and player very well this year off bench after starting last year)
R. Waker SG/W (injured hand early in season, injured most of 2024 season but player well in 2024 tournament and left team for personal reasons during 2023 season.)

E. Sharp - SG/W Junior - I see him playing in Europe after 2026 and being a broadcaster or successful in business. He is very sharp! If UH is to return to Final 4 in 2026 Sharp is key as the lone veteran, team leader!
M. Uzan - PG - Junior - Has progressed so much so fast he could possibly go this year but would likely make more $ if we waited a year and certainly would get even better.

T. Arceneaux - SG/W - Sophmore - has so much talent coming back from ACL, just needs to beef up and get more aggressive and confident. Has to the measurebles to be NBA draft pick in 2027. expect him to start next season
J. Tugler - PF - Sophmore - expect to work on offenese in off-season be NBA 1-2 round pick 2026
C. Laith - PF - Sophmore - much improved! he was so raw in 2024 NCAA tourney when we just needed a body. He can really play some now and only get better!

K. Jefferson - PG - Freshmen (RS) - has looked good in minutes played. runs court and handles ball well plus knocks down thre 3. expect him to be backup PG

M. Miller - SG - Freshmen - Saw most minutes in 2025, defense has improvded but shooting deteriorated. probably needs to work on conditioning to shoot when tired from defending. Expect him to be 6th man or even start if he find his shot.
C. Mccarty - SG/W - Freshmen (RS) - excited to see him play!
J. McFarland - C - Freshmen - assume broken leg gets medical RS so still has 4 years eligibility. how long to recover?

2025 RECRUITS

C. Cenac - PF (expect to play minutes rotating with Tugler and Francis at C/PF positions)
i. Harwell - SG (RS unless needed
K. Fleming - PG of the future but ideally RS.
B. Jackson - SG (expect to RS)

2026 RECRUITS?

Don’t rule out the possibility of transfer(s). With NIL opening up further, it’s less taboo than ever to jump ship

@willhclark Francis is out of eligibility

His 1st season was 2021-22 season

*Arcenaux- was an Achilles

And the incoming freshmen, none should redshirt.
Besides Bryce Jackson. Harwell is probably a 1 & done. So he’ll see big minutes next yr

Maybe just a tad too optimistic.

Harwell isn’t redshirting. Before he was injured he was considered the best SG prospect in the entire nation lol. If you watch his games, he looks like a beast.

With Javier coming back and Laith getting major minutes, he might have to

Unless NCAA changes rules, Francis is done.
Unfortunately, because he’s definitely one who would have benefitted from a RS Frosh year.

Just repeating what the OP said. I’m not sure this isn’t :100: a troll poast that is slowly succeeding. Purportedly a post about 2026 recruiting but full of misinformation about 2025…

Definitly not trolling my own team. Misinformation or something you just don’t like? What is the problem?

Scored a perfect 50 in Slam dunk contest first round in McDonalds all American slam dunk contest on ESPN 2

The McDonald’s All-American game is tomorrow night at 8 PM. Two future Coogs, Harwell and Cenac playing

Been awhile since we had a McDonald’s All-American, much less two in the same class. Not sure but think Alton Ford was the last one we had before Jarace Walker.

And Flemings is just as good as those two.

Harwell on a Hoverboard helping out Cenac on his last dunk had the announcers saying Sampson is having his blood pressure go up unnecessarily before his big game. lol
