2026 Recruiting

I know Ware did not start the season as a starter. The QB starter at the beginning of the season was David Dacus. This is where my memory gets a little foggy. I believe Coach Pardee played both Dacus and Ware and I don’t remember if Dacus got injured or Ware outplayed him, but by the end of the 1987 season, Ware was QB1.

Which would have been the dumbest thing ever, in hindsight…

It appears our no name, G5, over the hill, affordable, head coach may actually be starting to get the kind of results he got everywhere else he’s been, despite Power4, Big12, Football being “different”…

Some have already admitted they need to eat crow, but don’t know how to pick up the DAMN fork…

Andre actually started at Alvin CC in 1986. He broke his arm early in the 1987 season but was sharing time anyway.

Dacus was the starter coming into the season, and Powers was also in the mix. I THINK Andre had pretty well won the job by the second or third game of the season before he got hurt against Wyoming.

Good thing Willie doesn’t let “the crowd” decide what to do…

…or some of the dumbasses on this MB…

I don’t think anyone wanted to see Zeon at QB.

Yeah, we all saw enough of him in 2024, when he was the only guy at QB with a pulse.

Thanks Dana…

UH has a REAL COACH now…

Interesting. I never knew that.

He already had his turn last year. We definitely didn’t want to see more.

Alvin CC had a football team? Who did they play?

I don’t think they played football - I think he just enrolled there because an SAT snafu kept him from starting at UH. He retested and enrolled in the Spring of 87.

Confirmed that Watts has not signed yet.

I asked about this, here is the reply I got…

Andre Ware attended Alvin Community College for a year (1986-1987) after being ruled ineligible for his freshman season at the University of Houston, but he did not play football there. He worked two jobs to pay for tuition before joining Houston’s team the following season.

Still a number of unsigned WR’s that we may be trying to flip.

We could also just be rolling with Melvin, Roberts, and Bushnell and then chase a transfer.

I will say that is not really fair. Xeon at times was electric. He made some good throws and once opponents got film on him he made some bad throws.

But as much pressure as CW faced this year every time he dropped back, last year was far worse, FAR WORSE.

To grade Zeon’s passing efficiency behind THAT line is totally unfair. Is he a great QB behind Alabama’s OL…probably not great, but probably good. It’s so easy to throw knowing your jersey will never get dirty.

He was not CW, but he did have talent. I wish him all the best.

My son knows Watts as they go to school together. Says that the kid was on phone all day and he thinks gonna commit elsewhere. Edit…just saw that he did sign with UH!

And the decommit of IC Warren caught him off guard as we saw the kid at UH game the day before decommmit and my kid didnt notice anything strange.

Yah and that was a waste of his eligibility

Kah’ni Watts still unsigned & has a crystal ball to flip to Wisconsin per Badgers 247 insider
