I know UH was using the Selection Show as a NIL event but having a raucous crowd in the background when the team is selected makes for great national television. I hope there is a way next year for UH to combine the NIL event with a huge crowd in the background.

I watched the CBS show, and I was surprised that Iowa St. only got mentioned when they announced the brackets. I think people are sleeping a bit on Iowa St. Would love to see them knock off the “Michigan Men”.

Unfortunately, in our experience it is much better the less we are talked about. Wish it wasn’t that way. Maybe some day we will outgrow this, but it’s absolutely a thing.

I’m ok with it for now and appreciate the encouraging words.

I love the underdog mentality as well. Houston against the world!

So happy I bought my regional long ago.

Tickets were only $15 with free parking. What would you suggest?

This is the kind of thing that will grow if they stick with it.

It just needs to be set up for TV. I like the backdrop of the screaming fans in the arena seats rising above the players.

Move the basket and have the team sit on the UH end of court at Fertitta, Seat everyone behind them in the stands. Signs and costumes welcome. When UH’s name is called, the team gets up and starts cheering and the fans go crazy.

Make it memorable.

This is the story we hear every year about every team we play in the tournament - usually doesn’t work out like that.

It was Jeff Goodman, and he’s a buffoon. He thinks because Illinois scores a lot in the Big 10, they can do the same against Houston.

I’ll be honest, Big 10 teams never scare me and I’ll always like a good match up against them. Just soft ass teams.

Illinois will get some points but where they’ll fail is on the defensive end. Whether it’s in transition or setup in the half court their D is tissue paper.
