That goes double for THIS message board.
Flyovers are above average difficulty for TDECU due to the stadiums proximity to Hobby and related flight paths.
If the jersey color is enough to start a rivalry, we’re definitely in peak offseason mode.
Based on your posts, we didn’t overlap (my first year with Central Missouri’s athletic department was '13) but I was on the other side of the equation for several flyovers. Incredible memories being atop the stadium with the ground team when the units would roar past.
UCM is blessed to have their great relationship with WAFB spanning years. There were several times we received help in evaluating our 2535 to make sure we were in good shape on our submission. Jen Greene was the longtime Public Affairs Officer and she was incredible to work with – not just flyovers but meet-and-greets, base tours, etc.
We were working on hosting an on-base exhibition for men’s basketball but it fell apart with a change in leadership. Still on my professional bucket list.
Thanks for your service and great to connect with another Mule!
I sponsored Golf Tournaments at Whiteman and UCM (CMSU). I had anytime, anywhere access to the Athletic Dept. working with Jerry Hughes, Shawn Jones, etc… Really a blast working with those folks…. Shawn’s career in Athletics is still on an upward trajectory. He was one of the best “play by play” guys I ever heard on the radio…
Go Mules!
And quadruple for the satellite
I am at the point were if we completely stopped wearing the blue I would be pissed because at least half the shirts I have bought in recent years are blue, I used to buy Columbia shirts and Nike Coach’s polos regularly, but at this point they are all the same year after year. I would love some fresh alternative logos to give me a reason to buy some new red polos.
I always want to wear what the coaches and players have.
