So we’ve completely dropped the “vs an in-state opponent” requirement for the Houston Blue games, it seems. Probably for the best.

What about the 1996 and 2006 Cusa championship teams? Can we get some throwbacks, obviously the 50th is significant but the 1996 helmet does not get enough respect, and I am ready for the fat UH throwback to really feel old.

Can we get a Bill Yeoman bobblehead to honor the 50th anniversary of the 1976 SWC championship team?
The secondary market for the few existing SGA UH bobbleheads is significant, think as much as $250 each, it would create ticket demand.

I’ve got red and black shirts ready (probably wouldn’t want me to wear the light blue one I have). Likely not at that game anyway, so no issue.
Someday I would like to see theme days of interest to me. So far Senior day is the only cool one.
Alternate Luv Ya Blue is good for special occasions.
I wish Coach Sampson and the Basketball Team would wear more Red and White Jersey Combos!

I did the Columbia blue for a couple of games and that was enough for me. I’ll wear white that day.
Can someone come up with our overall record when wearing that blue for all sports? I didn’t have any luck.
Per SI (Dec 2025), it appears UofH is 4-7 Overall when wearing the “Luv Ya Blue” Coog’s alternate jerseys, which is a 36.4% Winning Percentage. However, according to the breakdown available on Chat GPT, per sport, it doesn’t include a loss in basketball. I’m almost certain we took an “L” wearing blue basketball jerseys at one point so the data is inaccurate. Regardless, there is a trend in the wrong direction when UofH wears alternate blue uniforms.

The Houston Blue is not that difficult. Wear it in a non conference game in every sport against weak competition
