West Virginia and Cincinnati are examples in our own conference.
There is simply too much talent in the Houston metro not to be better. Period. The facilities are fine. Start winning, the fans return, the revenue from parking, concessions, etc. will move the needle.
SFA tonight to get that mojo back.
Up in Nacogâ
at 4pm ctl today.
About 10-12 more games till this nonsense is over with and he will not be retained. Looking forward to the announcement of our new coach
Coogs trail 4-1 bottom of the 6th
Bases loaded for SFA in the bottom of the sixth and nobody out in the inning. Finally got an out! Runners on the corners
5-1 on a fielding error on the pitcher. Still only 1 out and 2 runners on. Hey we changed pitchers after giving up 3 runs to start the bottom half of the inning! Well on our way to 4 straight losses
5-1 SFA top of the 7th.
UH has 1 run on 7 hits
SFA has 5 runs on 10 hits
Update: 5-2 after a solo shot by LaLima
So, we are losing to SFAâŠnot disparaging them, but SFAâŠ
Toddâs coaching and leadership continue to underwhelm.
5-2 top of the 8th SFA still leads
5-2 SFA top of the 9th
Well, theyâre an older school so weâre at a disadvantage. ![]()

SFA has a #193 RPI
Does this mean we donât win the Piney Woods Cup

5-2 final SFA wins. Coogs have now dropped 4 straight and look to continue that momentum tomorrow night against McNeese at home
Oh I mean snap the losing streak. Sorry about that ![]()
All you can do at this point is just shake your headâŠP-I-T-I-F-U-L
Whittingâs office tomorrowâŠ

It was like that at the beginning of the seasonâŠ.
NowâŠ.

Our athletic department has literally wasted the last 3-5 years for our baseball program. We havenât tried to improve at all besides the practice facility.
Itâs a lock that weâll finish with our highest loss total since our 233 RPI year of 2021, when we lost 34 games. We could even surpass that. Itâll probably be our worst RPI finish since then also. Itâll be our 3rd losing season in the last six years (for those who actually think winning % is more important than RPI or regionals), but thatâs only because through happenstance, weâve played an uncharacteristically good schedule this season. Iâll never understand why it was so easy to fire Noble after a couple of bad seasons, yet the Whitting debacle has been allowed to go on for so long. It makes me wonder what is wrong with the athletic department leadership at UH.
