They definitely don’t have any experience coaching outside of Southland-level programs except for that one dude who has 1 year as a student assistant at A&M.

Doesn’t mean they aren’t any good - they just haven’t proven it at this level.

Our recruiting coordinator is a Louisiana guy. :man_facepalming:

Really close…Moonlight got in the field defensively for an inning…Coach Dugas was actually called up and on the active Big League roster but never got into a game before optioned back…man that would suck…thus Phantom MLB Player

I wonder if any of them will be there this weekend for our showcase (assuming it doesn’t get rained out).

They need to be in Round Rock yesterday, today and tomorrow getting a few winners. Im seeing lots of good pitching and a few dudes that can swing it.

I don’t expect them to go bring in some haul of high-level recruits. The entire staff has been looking at and recruiting a certain level of player that might play in their programs. These guys we need are going to have to find us this year, imo.

Since 2017 he’s coached in Texas a total of two seasons? And that was UT-Arlington. Maybe he’s got Dallas connections.

Unlike some, I’ll reserve judgement.

It’s a big step up but as we lived BITD…if he’s gone to an SEC program in few years it means he’s done helluva job

If by “these guys” you mean the UH BB fan base, then I think we all know the answer.

Yes. They have all been successful in their coaching careers to this point. Of course they all need to continue proving themselves here.

Note: Jace Hutchins is a young guy and early in his career. But given Will Davis track record with good pitching staffs and his pitching coaches keep getting hired away to bigger jobs, I trust his decision to bring Jace to UH.
