JD confirmed no MTE. It would great to get at least one more Q1 opportunity on the schedule. Preferably at home or neutral.
Wish we could some games like at Arkansas, home vs Arizona and Iowa State or NC State on the road.
Potential Quad 1 games: Arkansas, Virginia, Oregon, Arizona maybe
Then a solid middle of the pack team and then some buy games
Would Gonzaga come all the way to Dallas? Lol
If we can add 1 or 2 more tournament caliber teams that would close out a pretty good schedule. Can’t wait to get into the big 12 so we can have more big home games

Note if you are not participating in a MTE, you lose 2 non conference games … 2 of those are going to be blank
Only allowed 29 regular season games without an MTE, and with 18 conference games we are getting 11 noncon instead of 13
After you add rice, all that’s left is the unknown nuetral

I agree. But don’t thk it will happen. CKS keeps giving hints that this is as tough to schd gms as he’s been through. He wants to stsrt the home/home gms once they’re in BIG12, so this yr might be light. We’ll see.

Our schedule was pretty terrible last year… somehow got worse…but with maybe better positioning with home and away for the “q1” game … so far it’s the games from last year,but no MTE(that gave us Butler/Wisconsin) no Oklahoma st… and a drastically weaker conference on a down year for the league
We’re are entering the season where individual upsets can drastically alter our seeding

I get you dont want an insanely difficult schedule next season. But for a top 5 preseason team this year, its not that challenging.
If you’re right @pesik, thats there’s only 1 game left undecided.
The AAC is a better league than the WCC. But to set us up for a chance at a 1 seed, i thought you’d have to schedule like Gonzaga.
Gonzaga non conf last season: Texas, UCLA, Duke, Alabama, Texas Tech —> led to a 1 seed
Plus i wanted to be on National TV alot, to showcase Sasser & Jarace early. Virginia and Alabama, only 2 chances. Oregon, is a Sunday game, during football season.

Is the AAC better than the the WCC? Not last year. Gonzaga typically gets multiple Q1 opportunities against BYU, st Mary’s, SFO etc. UH essentially just gets memphis and smu on the road.
Oh my bad I thought we had 13 OOC games. So i hope the neutral game is a top 50 caliber team

I will just hope and pray out of smu, temple, Tulane, UCF, Cincy, we can get 2-3 teams that are bubble teams. Maybe 2-3 can be top 75 road games. Probably wishful thinking about we have seen crazier things have

because i complained about the schedule last year?
i praised last year as the best schedule we had had under samspon (not thinking virginia and oregon would flop) and thinking the mte was the best we’ve had at houston under sampson
you guys just make ridiculous fake arguments, and pretend as if that was my take …
and pretending this isnt a worthy conversation, we have hoping for a 1 seed, and trying to position ourselves for a national title… there is only 1 for sure tournament team on our schedule (in Alabama), there is a legtimate argument that Tulane will be our 3rd or 4th best team we will play all year…
