I’m not sure how to break it to you but we’re not a CFP caliber team no matter what “clear path” you felt there was. Most rational people would expect our program to continue to progress and build in Year 2 and we have shown that. It’s fine to have lofty goals and dreams but turning that into expectations that defies reality and then being overly critical when they fail to meet them is unfair to those actually putting in the work day in and day out.

I hate to break it to you…but YES we had a clear path to the playoff.
Do i think we are a strong contender. This season…No…but we had a clear path to win the B12 and secure a Playoff invitation

Were all those seasons over following one or two losses?
Of course not.
Several of them still had Top 25 finishes.
Still in the running for that, and that’s generally been considered a successful season in the past.
In other words, the season ain’t over simply because you are out of playoff or title contention.
We could consider the season over, give up now and finish with 7 wins….
OR…win out and finish with TEN OR MORE wins and a ranked finish.
Unless you prefer the former, DON’T say that the season is over.
