That’s all
GO COOGS
as we should be…but only game 1 and hopefully O line gels during NC games.
GO COOGS \n//
I’m real concerned about our offense and not real confident in Nagle.
Yeah, it didn’t impress me, though I wonder if CWF and the OC were saving more creative plays for better competition.
One of these days we will actually have a coach that values offense and defense equally and doesn’t have a philosophy of focusing on one more than the other or putting one in a bad position as in the Baby Briles strategy …
Complementary Football!
I’m pretty sure CWF values complimentary football. He talks about it quite a bit.
They all TALK about it but building schemes to support it when action is greater than words.
It was the first game of the season. Did you think CWF was going to open up the entire playbook? The biggest improvement is always between games one and two. The coaching staff has now seen how players compete against live competition. There will be some tweaks and maybe some starters will become second stringers and second stringers will become starters,
TT scored 67 in their opener lol us not so much
I dont think we’d score 57 against the Little Giants. Not because we arent capable, but thats just not how we’re going to play offense.
Guys, the issue isn’t the HC or the OC… It’s the OL…
I do agree that the playbook was “restricted” against an FCS opponent, but that wasn’t because CWF didn’t want to put anything good on film… The OL was pretty bad all game long… That’s why the offense was limited. The fact that CW is a far better QB than anything we’ve had recently is why the Coogs were able to do what they did offensively.
Not being able to get a yard on a 3rd & 4th &1 against an FCS DL with a “P4” OL tells you everything. People here want to pump up SFA, but you can’t have it both ways. You can’t pretend that Coogs are a P4 program with a chance to compete in the Big12 when they can’t get a yard against a DL they need to be able to dominate.
When the OL improves, then you’ll see a jump in the offensive production. Until then, the improvement (hopefully) will be in the WRs developing better handles and the offense as a whole continuing to gel together, since so many of them are new to the team.
Go Coogs
But it needs to be.
I trust you guys have completely forgotten about last years offense. This years ( thru 1 game) looks completely different to me. Yes, the OL needs to improve and the receiver routes need to sharpen, but at least we are mixing it up.
Last years OC was a total disaster, and is probably working at Home Depot.
Against UAPB. I good HS team would beat UAPB. Cmon man!
I heard other people saying the same.
I have some concerns but not going to freak out over one game. We had a ton of new guys playing together for the first time.
Against the 4th to last team in all of the FCS according to sagarin rankings…
SFA is literally ranked like 130 teams above APB… And above Rice.
The rest of college football did.
