Prob bc we’re in the big12

Not a good idea when you are 1-3 entering the game. If that is how UH plays on the road when there is ‘chatter’ on the field before the game, then please do the same in New Orleans.

That just seemed pedestrian. Did the players shake hands after the game?

Now if that had been Memphis State University at Homicide Park I would have been more amped over it.

Tulsa players were down 40 and talking smack. That was interesting.

Tulsa was listening to the press build them up because they didn’t get blowout by ou and osu. Lol

I have never seen a team hold like that all night long. Don’t blame them with how badly their OL was getting their asses handed to them by our DL. The only shot they had with protecting their QB was total bear hugs and tackles to the grass. The refs could have thrown a flag on almost every play.

We were so frustrated with that! I was like…quit holding my kid. Did it to Anenih badly as well.

And it was so flippin’ obvious.

On another note, I’ve been disappointed in the receiver blocking. One of those early plays in the 1st quarter was a pass up the left side. Erwin, no. 15, must have pushed his man 10 or more yards down the field for a big gain. Hard to see that stuff all the time with the camera angles, but I saw it and it made me happy.

Also saw Bardwell pretty far downfield a couple of times trying to make a lane. Impressive for a big guy.

The no calls on holding are living proof that refs know they can control a game. The refs knew they were holding but they also knew that calling every hold would have run the game to six hours.

They chose to ignore the holding in deference to the network. If you think about that a little it should scare you.

I was beginning to wonder if you were getting jealous because they might be hugging Derek more than you do,:rofl:

I would bet that is why we are seeing Ervin on the field more.

Put me in a casket. I am deceased.

On the flip side it shows how superior our DL is compared to their OL if they have to so blatantly hold, bear hug, tackle to stop a superior, swifter, more powerful athlete. As long as the refs are calling it, a 10 yard flag is almost as good as a sack.

I hope our boys can sustain this recent evolution into a pack of hungry hyenas. Its a beautiful thing that we haven’t witnessed since 2016. And boy is it fun to watch! Lots of laughs coming out of me last night.

There is one replay where Derek is almost full screen and you see him practically being choked. Not much later, he’s doing it again and then to David after that. Derek said the refs were ignoring that player. In the Rice game when they were doing it as well, he told the refs to call it and they told him “ you’re a big boy, you can handle it” it is what it is, unfortunately.

Just gotta keep calling it out. The squeaky wheel gets the attention eventually.

It was getting ridiculous last night how bad it was getting and the tactics being employed.

The D is going to really enjoy watching the video of that game. Hopefully it motivates them to keep it up. I am sure Derek and the entire D unit enjoyed executing last night. No doubt lots of fun destroying their O as they did. It was a lot of fun to watch and enjoy. Absolutely LOVED it!!

Lots of players got a piece of the pie. Seems almost everyone got a few tackles here and a few QB hurries there. Great to see!
