If UH had half as many “sheep” as A&M, UH wouldn’t be languishing in the AAC.
A senior pastor at my church is an Aggie and so is his father, grand father, etc. When talking to him about the 100 million dollars being donated with the condition that A & M joins the SEC. I mentioned that that was approximately how much the world wide budget for two years of Baptist Missionaries.
His reply is that the new Aggie stadium is their house of worship.
I always thought that schools like LSU, Alabama, Aggies, UT, tOSU, Oregon, Michigan and a very few others should contact the Hindu’s in India. They could make their mascots an official deitie or god of the Hindu’s, After all some say their is no fixed number of deities in Hinduism and there is a popular perception that they have 33 crore (330 million) deities.
When a fan touches a statue of their mascot they would be touching the face of a Hindu god. This may also make purchasing and giving to school athletic depts. a tythe to their religious institute and tax deductable.
As the LSU fan told the 1st Baptist Church of Baton Rouge pastor when asked about attending church on Sunday.
“Pastor I have already been to church on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium.”
Yep, just make the Tiger a Hindu god.
If by ‘Sheep’ you mean ‘shady politicians on their side’ then we can agree.
If UH had the PUF fund$ we wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place either
I Lump PUF, Big 12 creation, Big 12-2 expansion all in the same Shady Politicians bucket.
and thrown in UT-H expansion. there is so much more…
Excuses, excuses. As if the PUF enters into someone’s mind when they’re deciding on whether or not to attend a home game.
You actually think not having PUF funds same as Gags and Whorns all these years as no bearing where UH is at now ? Pleaaasssseeeeeeeeeeee
TCU made excellent use of the PUF to get into the wac then mwc then big east, and finally the big 12.
So did louisville, I’m sure. Not to mention Texas tech and the hordes of PUF checks they cash.
a lot of whining in this thread…
TCU is a private school no PUF, and what have they done. Louisville is not a Texas school so no PUF. What has Tech done, also no PUF? I am an old school Coog that was raised by a bunch of Aggies. I know the history of when they let us play with the big boys!
All public schools in Texas should have access to PUF funds.
Moncoog’s comment was tongue-in-cheek
Yeah in 1987.
