Adios Purdue

Aaaaannnnnddddd, a lot more injuries over the past several years . . . . .

To our 2 main guards and best shooter too.

When that happens during crunch time there’s only so much you can do on minimal notice sadly

Looks empty.

i had them losing to memphis in the next rounded so no real damage, zona losing to princeton did some damage

Damn!

I was worried about us eventually facing Purdue-they have some true giants.

Before or after they gave up a 29-4 run to Maryland?

That was the game that served as a red flag but even I didn’t expect them to choke that hard lmao

Yeah, when one of their players (I think it was Gillis) refused to shoot wide open 3s when down 5, it was unofficially over

Thank god Sharp had a mini flurry before it got to that point for us lol

I have Marquette winning that region and beating Alabama. Purdue was always a suspect for me. I will still hold off on crowing Alabama.

i too thought purdue was a paper tiger. too slow and demanding the ten-footer beat people with his size.

that will kill you in the tourney. its a guard-centric contest at this level
