The question now is, how does this conference raise the bar and become an annual four-to-five bid league with the metrics that will allow it to be properly seeded in the NCAA Tournament (SMU and Cincinnati both received six seeds last month in the field of 68)?
A big part of it hinges on what happens moving forward at both UConn and Memphis.
