After we fire Holgorsen

Whilst I don’t foresee him getting fired anytime relatively soon unless we really fall apart, if he does, I think Cignetti from JMU could be a shrewd hire. Yes a bit older than some fans may like, but has worked wonders with that program. If wanting someone younger, think Jason Candle the Toledo coach is an under the radar type of guy who has done great with that program and I think ready for a step up in his career.

TAMU is where feeling stupid is a way of life.

A curiosity . . . . . when a student athlete commits, what / who are they committing to ? ? ? ? ? School? Coach? Program? NIL? Location? Co-eds?

Sadly I agree, but even by those standards it won’t be easy to land those types of coaches because we aren’t facing easy G5 opponents.

That being said - yeah Yeoman was one of a kind, and we have to stop trying to find Yeoman Jr.

Isn’t his job to say “thank you sir (if Fertitta) or ma’am (if Khator) may I have another!”?

Sorry to break it to you. There is no firing this season, so keep sulking.

This is how the buyouts would play out!!! 7.2 million is still a tough pill to swallow if he’s let go after this season’s bowl season.

I can’t think of a single team that fired their coach mid-season and then did anything but suck… Calm down, enjoy the ride and we can revisit at the end of November, its not like we need to see if Belk will be a good head coach.

I can think of a few. Ed Orgeron with usc in 2013 and lsu in 2016. Clay Helton did pretty well on 2015 at usc and Dabo was an interim at Clemson before getting the job.

There are others too. It has worked at times. More often than not it doesn’t of course.

In any case, Dana isn’t getting fired before year end.

7,2 million is absolutely doable. Thought it was north of 15 million.

He needs to get to a bowl game or he gone !

Where did you get this from?

I am pretty sure it’s incorrect.

We would owe him @ $14.5 million after this season.

He is owed the full value of his contract with the exception of the last 2 years, in which case he would be owed 60% of those final two years.

The bottom half of that graphic shows “If Holgorsen terminates…” then he would have to pay the school; NOT what the school would owe if the School terminates. What the school would owe is in the top paragraph.

IF he loses to TCU AND SAM …designate him in a different role and formally fire him when the buyout is reduced.

We can’t afford a lame duck coach to dig a deeper hole…start preparing for a new direction ASAP!

Blockquote IF he loses to TCU AND SAM …designate him in a different role and formally fire him when the buyout is reduced.

Wow, I forgot we play Sam Houston. Dana really lucked out again playing three cupcakes in UTSA, Rice and Sam Houston. Too bad the Rice game didn’t work out too well. Should have no problems with SAM.

It’s time boys

No to Jimbo. Lord.

If Dana were to be fired, lets go after an excellent assistant or a good local FCS.

To be fair I think Jimbo would probably retire if he gets fired

I like what he’s doing to UL Monroe right about now

I’m good with the extension. It was the buyout.
