If it wouldn’t get me cancelled, I can easily post similar images of Asians, African Americans, etc. that would be similar to the bucktoothed grinning idiot, and no one would even question that they were offensive.
And we all know what Native Americans look like. They don’t look like that.
Yeah, in the case of Chief Wahoo, I really don’t see how there’s an “other side.”
he’s no more offsetting than the caricature of mr. met. i have no doubt many, many indians fans loved chief wahoo for decades and only rolled over into submission by enough that said its racist. they never perceived that until it was hammered in.
