Keisean is in a real “sweet spot” having his first year being the backup to a talented, proven dual threat QB, in Connor Wiegman.
Given all the mentoring, development, and raw athletic talent he possesses, I hope he has (or adds) a simple tool to his arsenal…
It’s the “rollout pass with the pump fake”.
What I mean is, he doesn’t have receiver open, so he rolls out and uses the pump fake to get past the line of scrimmage and takes off for scary yardage.
No matter how many times defenders see it, they consistently fall for it.
Ben Rothlesberger was great at it. If Keisean masters it, he will go from scary to unstopable, IMO.
If you are going to be part of the Keisean Henderson fanclub, learn how to spell his first name. There are hundreds of post on this board with his correct spelling.
I’d like to add, yes, get his name right, please. Love his 6’5" presence on the field yesterday, great arm strength. No one needs to rush the process, especially Keisean, UH coaches, or fans. His time will come next year. He needs time to age like a fine wine. Will he be ready if needed this year? When called upon to spell Conner, will he be up for the task this year? We’ll see. Have you seen him on the field in the last 2 months? When he fully jells, confidence, talent, potential, and experience, he’s going to be a Heisman candidate; he’s 1/2 way there. He’ll make UH a national force if they aren’t considered one yet.
Hopefully, the forum is busier on the Conner thread this year than on Kei’s thread.
All 3 of them, thanks! If we’re going to have double-digit Keisean threads, they damn sure better get the spelling correct. It’s like the people who still can’t spell Chase McCarty’s name yet. I mean, when they’re brand new to the roster, mistakes happen, but when we’ve talked about them for a full year, we owe it to them to get their names down after a year or more.
