Who’s next? Conner Weigman looks poised to develop further as the starter in a stacked QB room! We are fortunate to have him on the roster. I look forward to watching him this year.

Glad you brought up Clements and McKinley. Both highly recruited. Both were among my favorite QBs in the Helton era.
Clements signed with UH thinking he was going to operate the R&S offense. Along comes Helton declaring the R&S to be a gimmick offense and summarily changes it to a pro offense.
McKinley also would have thrived in the R&S. He was one of the best QBs in any UH era, if he hadn’t been limited by Helton’s ego.
IMO, changing the offense was a mistake. All UH needed to do tweak it and focused on the defense. Helton players played hard and he produced good defenses.
In hindsight, Helton should have kept the R&S and retain and reassign as Jenkins as OC.
But, that didn’t happen and the rest is history.
Clearly our administration should have kept HCJ. By firing him they only increased our chances at failure. BUT…our administration then wanted to kill the football program…hence they clearly could care less. Shortly after we ended up in c-usa. uta via the ncaa knew exactly what they were doing.

All of them are great but if you have not seen Andre play or throw the football you need to pull some old clips. Dude was UNBELIEVABLE! Fortunate enough to be on the sidelines and watched up close and personal.
