I wish there was a button instead of “like” for posts like this. A “well said, and it really sucks that this is happening” button.
Once some get paid they lack motivation
Sounds like his football future is over
Sad story
His running style was a sight to see. Hopefully he figures it out.
Maybe start in the Canadian league then possibly come back to the NFL if his body holds up.
Heard the same story and that he personally did not want to leave UH. So sad but hope he finds his groove before out of eligibility. He was (hopefully still is) a talented RB!!
Could use a “ha ha” button, also
McCaskill has learned a lot over these past few years, having on-field success, then getting injured, then transferring. If his playing days are over, I think he could be a valuable member of a football staff, in a player-development type of role, cautioning younger players that success can be fleeting, and his experience transferring to Colorado, and Arizona St. At the very least, Alton’s journey will make some players think through their own decision.
Derek said CDH made sure he was taken care of after his injury, not just with the best medical but anything else he needed, and I believe that.
He just NEVER got over that injury…a tough deal…
Who’s he?
He’s a scrub!
He must be in his thirties by now.
The other side of the portal. There are hundreds of players currently trying to make a move. There’s not enough money, roster spots or playing time for all of them to be success stories.
This guy can kick rocks. And his family.
The road to easy street goes through the sewer and he can’t manage to get out of the sewer! I’m betting dad has a lot to do with that. Better save those $ because looks like they are coming to an end soon.
Here’s a theory:
He’s transferring to schools to avoid playing schools he attended.
At CU, he never played against UH at Houston.
At ASU, he never played against CU nor Houston.
This year, ASU would have to play at CU. Also CU plays at Houston.
So wherever he goes next, it most likely wouldn’t be the Big 12 and he would never have to show face at neither of his previous 3 schools.
But it’s all just a theory.
I think you are using too many brain cells in the analysis. Alton is considering himself a free agent going to the highest bidder. What surprises me is Alton’s lack of production after his injury, which drives his market value. What team would given any more than a token NIL on him? He also may get some promises for a job after football.
I can’t imagine how you would even assess his value. Each move with no/little playing time has to drop the $$$ offer exponentially.
At some point, he has to weigh in playing time with NIL money. Can’t make the pros if no one ever sees you play.
