Alton McCaskill

Is in the transfer portal again. Haha. Dude is just looking to get paid at each stop.

Unless he goes somewhere he’s guaranteed to start and have an insane breakout year, the NFL is most likely out of the question at this point. Gotta maximize profits now

did he ever play much at CU?

such a strange and sad journey for what was (is?) a very talented RB

No and his dad made a big spectacle about it. Even acted like Nico Iamaleava’s dad when he hit the portal.

I predict this generation will want to make polygamy legal since they can’t commit to one thing

Isn’t it already legal in Utah or something like that?

AMC is a “prime” example of a college kid being extorted by his own parents bc of NIL. I hate watching these broke a** parents live off of the sons they are supposed to be providing for. His mom is the one who has profited the most from his collegiate career thus far. Forcing that kid to leave UH for Colorado bc of their own greed is sickening. And to do it right after the GoFundMe bullsh*t just showed how classless they are. Crabs in a bucket :unamused:

Part of growing up is learning to make your own way when friends and family are pushing for something else. Maybe he’s getting there now - hope so.

I don’t know how things would have worked out here after his injury, but he would definitely have gotten opportunities that he hasn’t gotten elsewhere.

Based on Alton’s freshman season, he built up enough positive equity in the UH program to be given every change to contribute after his rehabilitation. The young man made a decision to leave the UH program, which is fully his right to do so. Whether it was money, which most people think was the driving force of him leaving, or program philosophy, which Alton stated, I will never know. I know Alton’s action to solicit donations before he left UH can be polarizing to fans, but I hope he has learned about himself and accepted responsibility for his actions.

I think Colin Cowherd has some saying similar to this: “Don’t leave good expecting great”. He had success as a freshman here, was clear RB 1 here, was becoming beloved here and we showed a willingness to help him and his family out. “Good”. Lure of “great” got him.

McCaskill was really good as a freshman, and even showed NFL potential. McCaskill got injured before the 2022 season, missed that season, and then transferred to Colorado, then to Arizona St., and barely saw the field. I have to think at this point, McCaskill’s injury is still affecting his football future,

Injury or lack of consistent focus…
